Located in the remote Hinku Valley east of Lukla, the journey to Mera takes climbers through pristine forests, alpine meadows, and remote Sherpa villages, far from the bustling Everest trail.
Though technically less demanding than some peaks, its altitude poses a real challenge. The summit climb involves glacier travel and a long, steady ascent culminating in one of the broadest Himalayan panoramas availableāfeaturing Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and even distant Kangchenjunga on clear days.
