A visit to Swayambhunath, perched on a hilltop, offers a stunning panoramic view of the city, while the massive Boudhanath Stupa serves as a serene Buddhist sanctuary. The day concludes at Pashupatinath Temple, an important pilgrimage site where Hindu rituals unfold on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River.

On the second day, we embark on a scenic drive to Nagarkot, a hill station renowned for its mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayan range. Watching the first golden rays illuminate the snow-capped peaks is a moment of pure tranquility. Following this breathtaking sight, we take a leisurely hike down to Talkot, enjoying the fresh mountain air and picturesque surroundings. The journey continues with a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a living museum of medieval Nepal, where ancient temples, courtyards, and traditional Newari culture come to life.

Day 1: Sightseeing World Heritage Sites

Highlights: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple.

We explore the cultural and historical treasures of Kathmandu Valley, starting with the ancient palaces of Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Square. Next, we visit Swayambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, offering panoramic city views. The day continues with a visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas, and concludes at Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Sunrise at Nagarkot & Bhaktapur Durbar Square Visit

Trek Duration: 5 km hike down to Talkot.
 Highlights: Nagarkot sunrise, Himalayan views, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, cultural exploration.
 

An early morning drive to Nagarkot rewards us with breathtaking sunrise views over the Himalayas. After soaking in the mountain vistas, we hike down to Talkot, enjoying the serene landscape. Later, we visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO-listed heritage site rich in medieval architecture and vibrant culture. In the afternoon, we return to Kathmandu.
